Yep, a little slice of Americana in Saigon. There we were celebrating July 4th at Seventeen Saloon in Saigon. The fashion show was great - and the regular Philippino band blared nonstop American-style rock music.



This club is a lot of fun. It's like a time wrap...suddenly you're not in Vietnam anymore, as much as you are anywhere that's hip and open...and free.Young people are pretty much free in Vietnam anyway. That's really not the problem sector.

There I am...my latest self portrait...and it was a classic July 4th in Saigon. Well, it was actually July 3rd, 2008. Drinks were good, the food not bad...pretty good all in all. About 1,000 showed up at the White Palace in Saigon (aka HCMC).
